The Stars Between Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt

Posted by on November 26, 2008 at 8:25 am3 Comments

Everyone drop what you’re doing! Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, stars from the “reality” TV show “The  Hills”, are now married. OMG! Now it’s time for them to doom several children for life with ridiculous names. Like Bronx Mowgli. So anyway, let’s take a look at what the stars have been doing for Mr. and Mrs. Pratt.

As per usual, we do not have the luxury of knowing their birth times. We can still look at their general planetary placements for their birth dates to analyze their compatibility. This is done by examining the geometric relationships, or aspects, between the planets on their respective birth dates. This branch of astrology that involves comparing two charts or more to one another is called synastry.

Heidi Montag was born on September 15th, 1986 in Crested Butte, Colorado. Spencer Pratt was born on August 14th, 1983 in Los Angeles, California. Let’s take a look at their synastry.

Boxed in blue, you’ll see Spencer’s awkward retrograde Venus in Virgo is in a tight sextile to Heidi’s intense Venus in Scorpio. The sextile is an easy, unstressed relationship between two planets which would produce a certain social ease between the two of them, obviously necessary for a harmonious romantic relationship. Venus in Scorpio’s all-consuming passion producing sign can soothe Venus in Virgo’s flustered fussiness.

Boxed in red, Spencer’s quick-witted Mercury in Virgo is in a close opposition to Heidi’s philosophical, or sometimes even downright spacey Jupiter in Pisces. This is a match between a details-oriented person and a big-ideas person, one that should provide ample mental stimulation to the other, with Spencer always able to offer Heidi the facts and figures, and Heidi always able to offer Spencer a broader and deeper perspective to his ideas.

However, there are other dimensions of synastry beyond just comparing the aspects made between one chart to another. Relationships between people, romantic or otherwise, can also be read by having similar planetary “signatures”, regardless of whether they make aspects with each other or not. Montag and Pratt are an example of this.

Let’s take a look at some of the aspects or configurations that the two of them have between Mars and Jupiter in their charts in particular:

In red, you can see Spencer was born with Mars trine Jupiter.  In blue, you can see Heidi was born with Mars sextile Jupiter.  And what transits were they having on their wedding day?  Take a look:

On the day of their wedding, November 19th, 2008, you can see in blue, Mars was conjunct Spencer’s Jupiter, and in red, Jupiter was conjunct Heidi’s Mars.

So what is so Mars-Jupiter about them and their relationship? If any of you reading have watched the development of their relationship on The Hills (I swear I haven’t), you might be aware that their relationship for all intents and purposes has been quite rocky. Mars is about aggression and conflict.  Jupiter is the side of everyone that says “I’m right”. If you mix those two together, a “might makes right” type of philosophy emerges.

It seems whatever good things come to the couple (Jupiter), there is another force to cut it down (Mars). The good comes with the bad. Even though Heidi had two great things in her life, a close friendship with Laura and a romantic relationship with Spencer, Spencer hated Lauren to the extent that he forced Heidi to choose between being his girlfriend or being friends with Lauren. (Sigh). This was not entirely fair of Spencer to force Heidi to choose, but she chose him over Lauren, of course. And this is the nature of Mars and Jupiter.

Fast forward to their marriage. They eloped, they got married (Jupiter), but without the presence of their families, thus upsetting them (Mars). They did what they wanted to do, whether that upset people or not. With two people like that paired together, you had better watch out, and see what they can accomplish! If they can name their children sensibly they’ll already have an edge.  Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Pratt!

It’s easy to go back in time to comment about an event that already happened. Why don’t you use your astrological prediction skill and tell us what will come out of their stupid relationship? Will Spencer kill Heidi? Will Heidi die in a tragic death? Come on. Who cares what you say about things happened already. What a loser.

  • Patrick Watson says:

Well I would be more of a loser to make predictions without accurate birthdata for either person in the relationship. To do accurate predictions you often need good chronologies of lives to understand what people’s experiences are with certain transits, what cycles they appear to respond to. It takes a lot of time and consideration. We don’t have an incredible amount of that for either person, and without accurate birth times the research into their chronology would be near pointless. This post was meant to appeal to the lowest common denominator, for anyone who actually gives a flying eff about Speidi and their pathetic famewhorish exploits, while still introducing some higher brow astrological concepts. Besides, am I supposed to be able to predict every breaking news story? First, even with perfect astrological prediction skills there would not be enough time in the world to make an article about the daily news item before it happens, and second of all, it wouldn’t make a lot of sense traffic-wise, to come out with an article making a prediction about something that hasn’t happened yet, because no one will be searching for it, unless it’s a really high profile event coming up like an election or something. Third, I can’t truly say I’d be really motivated to go much deeper into the astrology of Speidi than I already did. I can only have so many showers to wash away the stench of self-loathing. In short, fuck you.

Patric, WOW, much respect for that response, i was really impressed with what you came back with regards Speidi ( love the name btw) and im really impressed with your accuracy with the little information you had. Anyway regardless of the smallminded people who expect voodoo miracles from simple fact, i enjoyed your insight and found it to be informative and true, nice one :) thanx
