An Astrological Profile of Barack Obama
Apparently there are still some crackpots out there who doubt the authenticity of Barack Obama’s birth certificate. Although sites like Factcheck.org could not convince them, in this article I will attempt to do so by using astrology in order to demonstrate some of the stunning correlations between Obama’s birth chart and recent events in his life, which can only work using the correct date, time and place of birth.
I’m so certain that the time and location of Obama’s birth, as recorded on his widely circulated birth certificate, are accurate, that if hypothetically it somehow turns out that his birth data is completely different from what we currently have, I fully agree to eat my own underpants.
Let’s take a look at his chart:
Barack Obama, born August 4th, 1961, 7:24 pm in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Obama was born with the Sun below the horizon, so the planets that work in his favor are the Moon, Venus and Mars. The planets that can work against him or are more problematic are the Sun, Jupiter, and Saturn. Mercury is diurnally placed, so technically it would work against him, except that the nature of Mercury is highly variable. Obama has Mercury in opposition to Jupiter and sextile the Moon, making no aspects to the malefics, so Mercury should (and does) act in his favor.
He has an Aquarius Ascendant, and the ruler of his 1st is Saturn in its own sign of Capricorn in the 12th. This would be someone whose main approach to life is through self-discipline and detachment, deliberation and caution, someone with a cool, calm, rational outlook on things. This has been widely observed by many journalists, and “No Drama Obama” even become a motto of his campaign. The fact that Saturn is in the 12th, a cadent house, means that bad things that come Obama’s way are deflected away from him and others suffer as a result. One ancient author even says that Saturn in the 12th indicates someone who can not be overcome by personal enemies. Obama has rarely suffered defeat, and indeed it was the Saturnian trait of experience that Obama lacked the most, yet it was all the other candidates running on the wealth of their experience who fell to Obama’s campaign. However, Saturn is not in the sect of favor and retrograde, so while his cautiousness may be a welcome change from the impulsive rashness of Bush, his weapon of choice may not always be the best weapon to use.
He also has Jupiter in Aquarius, his 1st. This is someone with a lot of optimism and big ideas about the world. Look no further than his campaign themes and slogans, Change, Hope, “Yes We Can”, “All Fired Up, Ready To Go”, and “Change We Can Believe In”. It does not get more Jupiter than that.
What about Obama’s unique star quality, his charisma, what might signify the nearly messianic global icon he has now become? The key transits in his miraculous ascent to power point to his natal Sun square Neptune. The Sun, the king of the planets, the marker of personal and political authority, is right at home in its own sign of Leo. Neptune, the planet of transcendental collectivism is in the 10th house near the highest point in the sky, the place of praxis, career, reputation. Many people have the Sun in Leo square Neptune in Scorpio, but Obama’s case was particularly special because he was born less than a week before an annular solar eclipse, as well as the rest of his chart fulfilling several Hellenistic eminence indicators. So the potential is laid down for a visionary leader. All he needed was to have the right transits to unlock this natal potential. I will demonstrate how the transits to his angles prove that the birthdata is authentic.
The 2004 DNC Speech
July 27th, 2004, 9:05 pm, Boston, Massachusetts
For the past year, Obama had been running for the US Senate. During this time, Neptune was opposing his Sun. In the days surrounding the speech, the Sun was coming up to an opposition with Neptune, perfecting on the day of his Solar Return.
Announces Presidential Run
February 10th, 2007, 11:25 AM, Chicago, Illinois
Neptune was now at his Ascendant, and on the day he announced his run, the Sun was conjunct Neptune on the Ascendant. The Moon was transiting his Midheaven as he gave his announcement.
Super Tuesday
February 5th, 2008
Widely viewed as the turning point in the primary season that spelled eventual defeat for the frontrunner Hillary Clinton, and the eventual nomination of Obama. This was the day before a solar annular eclipse on the degree of his Ascendant, conjunct Neptune.
Election Day
November 4th, 2008
The Sun is at it’s mid-way point through its eclipse cycle, square the Nodes, conjunct his natal Neptune.
Obama offers Hillary Secretary of State post
November 13th, 2008, Chicago, IL
Obama experiences a recurrence transit. He has Sun square Neptune natally, and the Sun squares Neptune that day. Also, Mars is conjunct his Midheaven.
Inauguration Day
January 20th, 2009, 12:00 pm, Washington D.C.
Occurs just after his 4th Jupiter return, with the Sun conjunct Jupiter in the sky. Less than a week later, an annular solar eclipse occurs square his natal Neptune. At the exact time that he is scheduled to be sworn into office, the Moon will again be transiting the Midheaven, just as it did when he first announced his candidacy for the Presidency.
The next full Moon, an appulse lunar eclipse occurs opposite the transiting Sun conjunct Neptune, across his horizon. I can only imagine that these celestial events really are marking out a new era, with Obama at the center, attempting to use his global influence to improve relations across the planet.
Can we still say that Obama’s birth certificate is inauthentic? No, we can’t! Can we say there might be something to this astrology thing? Yes, we can!
