The Astrology of Robert Pattinson and Twilight
The movie adaptation of the book Twilight just came out yesterday in movie theaters, thrilling the legions of teenage female fans of the book series by Stephenie Meyer. There’s another reason the girls are excited though: Robert Pattinson.
The newest teen heartthrob has emerged in Robert Pattinson, the actor who plays the role of Edward Cullen in Twilight. He plays the gloomy, brooding, handsome vampire who falls in love with a human girl. It’s basically Romeo and Juliet with vampires.
With three more books in the series to play out on film, he will likely become a fixture on girl’s bedroom walls, lockers and notebooks, if he isn’t already.
Check out this video to get an idea of the mania surrounding Twilight, and particularly of the leading man.

So what is Pattinson’s deal astrologically?
Let’s take a look:
At the present time, Neptune is in a very tight square to his natal Sun. This is a pretty good description of the fantasies being projected onto him right now. For swarms of female fans of the book series, Pattinson represents the closest thing to Edward Cullen being a real person. This superimposing of fantasy onto reality is what Neptune is all about. It will continue for the next several years more generally, in the probable time frame of the production of the rest of the Twilight series. Unfortunately, without a birth time, deeper inquiry can’t be made.
What about the brains behind ‘Twilight’?
J.K. Rowling + Anne Rice (pre-finding Jesus) = Stephenie Meyer
She was born on the day of a solar eclipse. Eclipses act as general markers of time, and I have observed that people born close to eclipses often resonate with them more strikingly than most people.
Meyer said she came up with the idea for her first book after having a vivid dream on the night of June 1st, 2003, about a romance between a girl and a vampire. She woke up and immediately began writing. 3 months later, she had finished a novel that would turn her into a literary phenomenon. So, that was important. What was happening ?
Well, just 2 days before on March 30th, 2003, an annular solar eclipse occurred at 8 degrees Gemini, exactly opposed to her Neptune in the opposite sign, Sagittarius. It clearly signaled a remarkable new chapter in her life revealed to her in a typically Neptunian fashion, through a dream. It is interesting that the man who would play her most popular character is experiencing a Sun-Neptune transit as he does so.
Just under 2 weeks later, Meyer experienced her Saturn return, (when Saturn returns to the same place it was at birth.) As many of you already know, the Saturn return often coincides with some major accomplishment, or some assumption of responsibilities for our interests and actions. Stephenie Meyer was an avid reader, and at her Saturn return, she was forced to take responsibility for that passion, by starting to write her own books.
The next solar eclipse happened on November 23rd, 2003 at 0 degrees Sagittarius. Less than a week later, on December 1st, 2003, she signed a three-book deal with Little, Brown and Company publishers. The Sun was conjunct her Neptune, opposite the point where it had been eclipsed just half a year before, two nights before her big dream.
And then all this is just a little bit more hilarious considering the titles of her books. Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. I wonder if she knows anything about astrology?
Oh, and one more thing.
Since the Saturn-Uranus opposition is going on right now, many people who were born at the important phases of the Saturn-Uranus cycle will respond to it accordingly, and Meyer is no exception. She was born at the Saturn-Uranus trine. At the time of the dream, Saturn was trine Uranus, a recurrence transit for her. And the Twilight movie has come out now around the Saturn-Uranus opposition. Maybe we can expect her next big creation at the next Saturn-Uranus trine in 2016.
Unfortunately, attempts to really get into the nitty-gritty of her or Pattinson’s charts are pointless without a birthtime. If you’re a fan of her books or him, or know someone who is, ask them to write them both letters about their birthtime! Maybe he’ll write back! She seems to have a knack for specific dates of things, chances could be good she knows hers! And if you are the one to find it out, you’d be credited forever in the annals of history, a.k.a. the birthdata section of this site. Let the race begin!

I think Robert has Aquarius (or maybe Leo) rising. In many of his interviews, he seems eccentric and likes to come across as independent and not “tied-down.” He’s musically talented, tall, intelligent, and has flowing, crazy hair. Aquarians are also known for being one of the most attractive signs.
His birth time might be 8:32am, that time is posted on the Twilighters message board. I don’t know if that is his actual birth time though, or if someone posted it as a joke. Pretty cool chart if that is the actual time, with a mystic rectangle and t-square. Would love it if there was an accurate birth time for him available…
Do you guys want to do an analysis with 8:32am as his possible birth time?
i heard taurus and virgo make good compatibility is is true?
or there soulmates
A square to Neptune or any other planet is a negative event so it does not explain Pattinson’s phenomenal success. Neptune square Sun according to Robert Hand “…its main function in your life is to point out that you do not really know who you are.” This accurately predicts Pattinson’s state of mind only.
Melanie,
I’d say the square is pretty damn accurate, his success is based upon a projection of the character Edward and the need women have for that archetype, not on his acting skills or who he really is which is what he’s going through. Neptune is also a planet of the “mass unconscious” so it does explain the massive phenomenon of his fame and twilight. Many times “success” is a double edged sword.

Pattinson’s transit makes a bit more sense within the context of the planetary signature underlying the Twilight phenomenon. Read the latest post on the CAB: http://celebrityastrologyblog.com/2009/11/26/the-astrology-of-taylor-lautner-and-new-moon/
